The City of Stratford offers 7 parks around town for the residents to use. Many of them were donated to the city over the years by various organizations. The Public Works department is now tasked with the maintenance and development of these parks.
The Pendleton/Baseball park is one of our largest parks and is located at 608 N. Grace St./ 1017 N. 5th St.
It has various playground equipment, picnic tables, a gazebo, volleyball, and three baseball fields. (t-ball, little league, and a regular field)
(Contact City Hall about a net for the volleyball pit.)
There are multiple dumpsters located on the side streets of the park for your trash disposal.
If caught littering there will be a fine not to exceed $500.
ALCOHOL IS PROHIBITED!!
The Walking Park is located at 1104 N. 5th St.
It has a 1/3 mile of sidewalk used as a walking track with benches and lighting.
This area is still under development and we hope to offer more activities here in the future.
Chestnut Park is located at 401 S. Chestnut. It has various playground equipment such as swings, monkey bars, a slide, and a small basketball court.
The Wall St. Park is located at 601 S. Wall. It has various playground equipment such as a merry go round, teeter totters, swings, a slide, and a picnic bench.
Roxy Park is located at 205 N. Main. It is one of two tiny parks tucked away between the shops on Main Street. Bonar Park is just up the street next to Biddy's on Main. it has a Veterans Memorial plaque.
The Rock Island Park is located on the corner of Hwy 287 and N. 1stStreet.
It has a picnic table and shade trees if you would like a break on your travels.
There are also 3 convenience stores within walking distance.
Kendrick Park is located at the end of Kay Avenue and has some trees and a bench that circles the turn around.
