Stratford.........April 14, 1935.
Just over 3000 folks call Sherman County home, with just over 2000 of us residing within the city limits of Stratford. Stratford is a very strong farming and ranching community with family ties going back many generations. Stratford also boasts a beautiful downtown area with several businesses. Stratford is the county seat for Sherman County. Stratford ISD provides students with a great education opportunity with 3 campuses.......Mary Allen Elementary, Stratford Junior High, and Stratford High School. We offer numerous churches within the city that are ready to welcome you to their congregation, either as a visitor or as a full time attendant. As a community, we welcome new business and are constantly trying to attract new businesses to our area. We are working toward improving the quality of life for each of our residents. Again, we want to welcome your to our city, and we hope your time here will be a pleasant one.
